Equifinality & Entropy

To me I feel equifinality and entropy can affect small groups in many ways, and being on a sports team you see the effects of them in most situations we face. Entropy is when there is chaos in a group because of a lack of organization or order in a group. This sometimes comes about when we have plays that aren’t ran correctly or when someone misses a defensive assignment. When one of these things goes wrong it can sometimes deter us from what we were trying to get accomplished like scoring and stopping the other team from scoring. But on the flip side, equifinality can be helpful to the times we experience entropy during things like a game situation. In being part of a team you always hear the coach say one thing the most “just do your job”. To me that’s what equifinality is, just doing your job so the group can function well and complete the task at hand. It’s sort of like parts to an engine; nothing in the engine does the same thing but they all come together to make the car go. But once one part is broke or not doing its job, it can mess up the engine or stop it from working properly.
